Strategy and projects

A technology plan that fits the business plan

Quarterly time with someone who understands both your books and your network. Budgets, renewals, growth plans and the occasional office move, handled as projects with dates rather than emergencies with invoices.

What this fixes

  • Technology spending is unpredictable and always urgent
  • Nobody can say whether the current setup will handle another ten staff
  • Software renewals arrive as surprises
  • Moving, opening or merging an office feels risky

What is included

  • Quarterly business review, if you want one: what changed, what is ageing, what is next
  • Three-year budget for hardware, licensing and lifecycle replacement
  • Project delivery: office moves, server retirement, cloud migration, new sites
  • Vendor selection and contract review for line-of-business software
  • Growth modelling — what your setup costs at double the headcount
  • A single roadmap document, kept current, that you own
After six months

Technology becomes a line in the budget you can defend, and change happens on your calendar rather than at 2am.

Advice, and who it is actually for

Technology advice is worth exactly as much as its independence. The structural question is whether your provider earns more when you buy more.

A typical provider

Licences and subscriptions are sometimes bought under the provider's own tenancy or account, which is efficient right up to the day you want to go somewhere else.

CY6

What you buy is bought in your name. Licences, domains, subscriptions — they stay yours whether or not we are still working together, and you can go and check that today rather than finding out at the end.

Why it matters — The question is not whether a provider makes money. It is whether leaving costs you the things you already paid for.

We do not name providers, and we do not claim every provider works this way. These are the patterns we meet most often when we take over an environment.
