Attackers do not attack the hardened office network. They attack the partner’s home laptop, which reaches the same data and is managed by nobody. Covering the household closes the gap that business coverage cannot reach.

What people ask before joining
What if I run a business out of my home?
Then you should be billed as a business, because that is what you are and it is what your exposure looks like. That said, a two-person practice and a thirty-person firm are not the same conversation, and we would rather find you something workable than price you out on principle. A short call establishes whether you need business coverage at all, and we will tell you if you do not.

Antivirus is one component, and it is the one that has changed least in twenty years. A membership covers protection, maintenance, backup, passwords and monitoring together, and includes people you can call when something is wrong. Nobody at a software company answers the phone.
How many devices does a membership cover?
Guardian Shield is priced per user. Family Fortress and Cyber Elite are built for households, so they cover the people in your home and the devices they use. If your household is unusual — a lot of devices, or a home office — tell us and we will price it honestly.
Do you need remote access to my computer?
We install a management agent so maintenance and protection can run without you doing anything. Remote sessions to actually look at your screen happen only when you ask us to, and you see them happening.
Can I get this for my parents?
It is one of the most common reasons people sign up. We will deal with them directly so you stop being the family help desk, and we will be patient about it.
