Backup and continuity
Backups that have actually been restored
Backup is not a product, it is a promise about time. We define how much work you can afford to lose and how long you can afford to be down, then build to those numbers and prove them by restoring on a schedule.
What this fixes
- Backups are running, but nobody has ever tried restoring one
- Everything depends on one server in a closet with a fan
- Cloud email is assumed to be backed up, and it is not
- There is no plan for the office being unreachable
What is included
- Image-level backup of servers and covered workstations
- Separate backup of Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace data
- Off-site, immutable copies designed to survive ransomware
- Documented recovery targets: how much data, how much downtime
- Recovery testing with a timed result you can show an auditor or insurer
- Continuity plan covering loss of premises, internet or a key system
You can answer the two questions that matter — how much would we lose, and how fast would we be working again — with a number rather than a hope.

Two questions worth asking whoever holds your backups
Nearly everyone backs your data up. Fewer can tell you, without going away to look, when a restore was last actually performed and how long the real one would take. Ask us the same two questions.
A typical provider
Backups run on a schedule and success is reported by the backup software. A restore is attempted for the first time when one is needed.
CY6
A backup that has never been restored from is a theory. Verification runs against every backup rather than once a quarter, and we perform real restores and time them — so the recovery number comes from something that happened rather than from a tier.
Why it matters — A backup nobody has restored from is a hypothesis, not a safeguard.
We do not name providers, and we do not claim every provider works this way. These are the patterns we meet most often when we take over an environment.
